Paris is often referred to the city of lights, and for good reason! From the first time you set foot in this elegant city, you are very aware of the important role the concept of light plays in presenting Paris. It is everywhere, in every form imaginable; which is not necessarily an isolated advantage only Paris possesses. However, Paris uses her lights, in all its various shapes and forms more effectively than any other city we know.
We want to share some of those moments with you, and thanks to the Sony A7R II, we have captured some brilliant shots we truly hope you will enjoy.
Bienvenue à Paris
The ethereal entrance to the Louvre, Palais Royal and Place du Carrousel is brightly lit, well past nightfall. If you time the traffic lights properly, you can walk into the middle of Pont du Carrousel to catch this exact viewpoint.
Within the Glass
Everyone photographs the glass pyramid of the Louvre, as do we, for it is absolutely stunning whether viewed in daylight or night time. But this view offers a different perspective, from the glass pyramid itself, if it were to have the capability to speak to us. Simple stunning, wouldn’t you say?
Train Station Turned Museum Extraordinaire
Anyone who has visited Musee d’Orsay will tell you that this is an extraordinary museum. Housing the largest collection of impressionist and post impressionist works of paintings by renowned artists such as Monet, Van Gogh, and Renoir, this place will make you want to return again and again.
As the Sun Sets
Find your way to any of the many bridges above the Seine and look up and out as far as your eyes will allow. Do you see the spectacular show the skies above have prepared for you? Are not the lights from Mother Nature simply mesmerizing? This is what we see.
High Above
Full day of rain and clouds above the city, a moment of reflection and prayer inside Sacre Coeur Basilica and you come out to be greeted to all of this. Paris will never disappoint you.
Like a Painting
When the streets of Montmarte is hit with rain all day, it does not treat the rain as a negative; it does not despair. Instead, it uses every droplet to its advantage and creates the most intense, highly pigmented, in-real-life watercolor painting we have ever seen.
When No One Is Watching
Even when the keepers of the city have surrendered to the demands of sleep, Paris will not abandon her duty, she will continue to shine.
The Queen
No matter where you are in Paris, you will always be reminded of the queen bee. She stands tall, proud, and ever resilient. Have you seen a more perfect captured moment that depicts so prominently both the strength and the demure of La Tour Eiffel?
Kapil, the Visionary
Behind every photograph we shoot lies patience, an unique perspective, subtlety and a keen eye; the vessel of those wonderful skillset lies with the co-founder, Kapil. You can see how Paris has lit up from behind to give him just the right mix of hues for this photograph.
Saadia, the Artist
For every captured moment, words must be perfectly penned to give companionship to the visual art. Saadia, the co-founder, is the creative writer behind those carefully chosen words. Kapil captures her essence in this photograph, in a way only he can.
We intend to share more content from our favorite city, but for the time being, we hope this glimpse of the city of lights was a visual treat for you.
