Although we travel together majority of the time, we are avid believers of solo travel. We recognized early on in our travels that in order to be the very best versions of ourselves, we needed the annual solo trip. The best part of visiting Portland, Oregon are the numerous day trips available from the heart of the city. One of our favorites is Mt. Hood at the Mt. Hood National Forest, located approximately 62 miles outside of Portland. A very scenic drive will lead you to the gorgeous mountains, lakes and of course the famous Timberline
